Cosmonauts and astronauts who have been launched into orbit or flown to the moon often speak of the Overview Effect, which sets in when one is able to view the Earth from a distance. For those whose mission is supposed to be exploring the space beyond our planet, the biggest discovery is their shift in perception of the Earth itself.
In this production, members of the youth troupe Junges Ensemble Marabu play with ideas, facts and fiction about the universe to create a humorous yet thought-provoking theatrical cosmos of their own that takes a critical look at us humans and our humanity. A space adventure somewhere between documentary theatre, performance art and infotainment.
